Schools FCU And KLCS; A Natural Fit

It's a natural partnership. KLCS is Southern California’s “Education Station” and we are the only financial institution exclusively serving the Southern California educational community.

Schools Federal Credit Union is proud to support KLCS TV, owned and operated by the Los Angeles Unified School District. KLCS broadcasts programming that educates, informs and enlightens viewers — a dramatically different alternative to regular TV.

And like us, KLCS offers something for the entire family. It complements its 12 hours of daily educational programming with evening and weekend broadcasts devoted to documentaries, performing arts, history, the community, and professional development series.

If you’re familiar with KLCS‡’s history, mission and programming, you’ll know why we are so proud to support Southern California’s Education Station.

One of the ways we support KLCS is with a spot informing viewers that we’ve been committed to serving the Los Angeles Unified School District and the Los Angeles Community College District since 1939. KLCS shares that commitment; in fact, service to the educational community is the reason both our organizations were founded. Interestingly, as we’ve grown bigger over the years, our name has grown shorter.

We are a not-for-profit cooperative whose mission is to provide our member-owners with the greatest value on a complete selection of financial services. We offer auto loans, mortgages, free checking, federally insured savings, credit cards, ATM/debit cards, online banking and virtually anything else members need to make handling their finances easy, convenient and more affordable.
