2026 Olonzo Woodfin Scholarship

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! There is still time to submit your application for the Onlonzo Woodfin – Cash Scholarship! Deadline is on Friday, June 19th, 2026. As the Class of 2026 prepares to celebrate this important milestone, Schools Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the availability of four $1,000 scholarships in honor of Olonzo Woodfin III.

Mr. Woodfin was a dedicated volunteer who served with distinction as both a Supervisory Committee Member and Board Member of Schools Federal Credit Union. His dedication to financial empowerment, education, and community engagement continues to inspire our organization and the members we serve today.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be a graduating high school senior in Los Angeles County, or be a relative of a current Schools Federal Credit Union member or LAUSD employee.
  • Submit an essay on financial literacy and its importance in achieving financial empowerment (minimum 1,000 words).
  • Be applying to, or have been accepted as, a full-time student at an accredited college or university. Applicants must provide an acceptance letter and/or proof of application.
  • Submit your high school transcript(s).
  • A letter of recommendation.

All completed scholarship applications and supporting documents must be received no later than Friday, June 19, 2026.
