Recruiting Volunteers

We’re a little different and proudly so. As a Credit Union, we’re not for profit, and that means you, our members, are the owners. Our Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee are made up of dedicated volunteers who share one simple goal: making sure our members are well served.

These volunteers truly reflect who we are as a Credit Union. They are professionals who currently work, or have worked, at LAUSD, LACCD, and CSUDH. They meet regularly to review how the Credit Union is doing and to help guide decisions that best support the membership.

This year, we have two open seats for a three-year term. If you’re interested in volunteering and using your professional experience to represent fellow members, we’d love to hear from you.

There are two ways to apply:

  • Through the Nominating Committee. The Committee will review your application and reach out to you to continue the conversation.
  • By Petition. You’ll submit your application along with 250 petitions (signatures) from current members in good standing. Your application will also be reviewed by the Nominating Committee.

If you’re interested in serving for the 2026 to 2029 term, please submit your completed application by Saturday, April 18, 2026. New volunteer leaders will be announced at our Annual Meeting on Saturday, May 20, 2026. Please note that there will be no nominations from the floor.

Serving is meaningful, impactful, and a great way to give back to the community that makes our Credit Union special.

The Nominating Committee for the 2026 - 2029 term consists of Jeanette Gordon, Treasurer and Board Member, and Karen Hemingway, Board Member.
