For Minors (under the age of 18): All minor accounts must have a qualified joint owner, such as a parent or legal guardian. Supporting documents are required and may include the minor’s Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, Passport, or School Identification Card.
For Qualified Joint Owner (Adult): You must qualify for the account being established. Teach your child how to responsibly use their Debit Card, including logging in to eBanking to monitor balances and spending. Remind them to always be cautious and never share account information with anyone. Encourage regular savings habits and consider opening a Coverdell Savings Account for future education expenses. As a joint owner, you can also adjust their daily debit card limit, up to $300, by simply giving us a call.
